Swab Testing Kits

Hutchison International Swab Testing Kits are optimised for the collection, stabilisation and transportation of samples of coronavirus (COVID-19), influenza, bird flu, hand-foot-and-mouth disease (HFMD) and measles. The kits consist of a sterile disposable swab, a sample tube with cap, a transport medium and a biohazard bag.

All Hutchison International flocked swabs provide optimal specimen collection from the oral cavity, throat and nasopharynx. The swab tip is constructed using jet embedded nylon flock technology, creating a soft brush which promotes hydraulic assimilation of liquid specimens.

The shaft is made from durable, medical grade plastics (PP or ABS) and features a moulded breakpoint to guarantee a clean and safe break at the correct point to suit the collection tube.

The sample collection tube is marked with a volume indicator, making delivery of the optimum volume of sample straightforward.

Option to include glass beads in the collection tube that improve elution of sample into the transport medium.
